More properties in the Hunter will soon have access to the National Broadband Network.
An extra 158,000 homes and businesses are being added to the rollout statewide.
That includes, between now and September next year, Clarence Town, Raymond Terrace, Tarro, Williamtown, Cessnock and Bluebird.
Federal Member for Newcastle Sharon Claydon says the work in Tarro will also enable Thornton residents to access the network.
