Taree’s Ten Pin Bowling club has lost its two state titles after its mens and womens teams struck out at the New South Wales Country Challenge.
Last year, both the Wombats and Diamonds claimed first place, but this year they came fourth and seventh respectively.
But it wasn’t all bad news – Wombats Captain – Shaun O’Byrne finished just three-points off a perfect result, with 297 out of a possible 300.
