CLIMATE CHANGE RALLY IN PORT

A small but passionate group of Port Macquarie protestors rallied at Town Beach Reserve today, to raise awareness about climate change.
Members of the Climate Change Australia organisation voiced their concerns by joining dots on a banner which read ‘climate change is real’.
The rally comes less than two months out before the Gillard Government is due to implement the carbon tax.
“Eventually we’ll need to increase the effort. Five per cent reducing our emissions is not enough, but it is a start. By 2015 we’ll have to report to the rest of the world, all the countries in the world are duty bound to say what we’re going to do.”
