A chinese restaurant’s delivery driver was the victim of a frightening attack in Tamworth overnight.
The 21-year-old was making a delivery in Westdale’s Flinders Street, when a man wielding a hunting knife confronted him.
The offender demanded money and lunged at the victim, who was knocked into a rose garden.
The man then stole cash from the victim’s vehicle, before fleeing into an awaiting silver four-door sedan in nearby Mitchell Street.
He’s described as 16 to 17 years old, with a slender build, fair complexion and about 165-centimetres tall.
He was wearing a black and white hooded jumper, blue jeans and a dark cap at the time, with a black and white cloth covering his face.
