- Harriet Wran has walked free from jail after serving more than two years for her role in the murder of a drug dealer. The daughter of former New South Wales Premier Neville Wran briefly speak to the media outside Silverwater Jail…asking for privacy.
- A 65-year-old woman is undergoing surgery, after she was allegedly stabbed by her neighbour in the Lake Macquarie suburb of Belmont overnight. Police say she, and a 64-year-old man, had been involved in an ongoing dispute.
- Video footage has emerged of NRL superstar Jarryd Hayne partying with an alleged bikie. The NRL Integrity unit is now investigating.
- The government is expected to name February 11 next year as the date Australia will decide whether to legalise same-sex marriage.
- And an unusual sight in China…dancers, equipped with safety ropes – showing off their moves on the side of a cliff. The American group, called “Bandaloop”, delighted tourists with their performance from a height of 13-hundred metres.
