Im confused, didnt the new GM just say he wouldnt weigh into the Fig tree debate?. & then what? he does a Secret Squirrel letter to spook the High Court Judge who had been lined up for Mediation? It was publicly acknowledged who is to be part of this mediation. Whats with this claim of some multiplying attendees? As a new GM you are undermining community confidence after only your first official Council meeting? Geez they’re a determined lot in NCC Senior staff. Determined to ignore proper process!
Everytime the councillors make a decision in favour of the figs, the council officers either ignore the motion or actively undermines it. It is the community that has gotten indpendent advice, it was the Lord Mayor who got the insurance company to offer the $35000 only to have the council officers undermine the process & convince the insurance company to take the offer off the table. It was the community who found McHugh for mediation, the community who has put up the money to pay for the mediation. Now the new GM writes a letter implying that there are 28 groups involved with the mediation. There are 2. That is what is in the motion that the council voted on, on Tuesday. Surely our new GM is capable of reading a motion, Otherwise it is going to be a long 5 years of his contract.
