Narrabri Shire Council will employ a temporary general manager for the next four months, following the shock resignation of Dianne Hood.
“We’re 12 months in since her arriving and council was working with her to get you know so great results for the community and it’s just a shame that these sorts of things happen,” Mayor Conrad Bolton said.
It comes as council is preparing its budget for the year ahead.
Ms Hood is the fourth person to quit the position in six years.
