A 21-year-old man will appear in court later this month, after allegedly assaulting an elderly driver in Tamworth.
Police say the 80-year-old man was driving along Denison Street yesterday morning when he stopped, as a man was lying on the road.
The 21-year-old then stood up and allegedly assaulted and robbed him.
It’s alleged he then tried to evade police by throwing a chair and a container of chlorine.
