The Kootingal War Memorial Hall is set to receive a makeover after being granted $60,000 from the state government.
Facilities will be upgraded and expanded, to cater for larger functions.
“Wedding receptions, for 100, 120 people. We’ve had to turn away a lot of parties, uh because our little hall in the middle just won’t cater for them.”
A pre-school once operated in the back room, but out-grew the space.
Work is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
