PORT MACQUARIE’S FISHERMEN’S WHARF ONE STEP CLOSER

Works to transform Port Macquarie’s foreshore into a commercial fishermen’s wharf will begin in August.

G-P-M Construction has been awarded the contract to build the foreshore facility which will include an unloading jetty, two new mooring berths and an extended boardwalk.

“This was an announcement made by the Premier previously $2.8 million, that has now increased to a $4 million project. So quite a significant build and I’m sure the community is looking forward for progress to get underway in the months ahead” – Leslie Williams, Member for Port Macquarie.

It’s expected the project will take 10 months to complete.
