$25 MILLION RETIREMENT VILLAGE APPROVED FOR MOUNT HUTTON

A $25-million over 55s retirement village is set to be built in the Lake Macquarie suburb of Mount Hutton.

Situated off Burton Road, Eleebana Shores will include 61 villas and 40 apartments, as well as a recreation centre.

The Joint Regional Planning Panel approved the development last night, saying it will help fill a shortage of seniors housing.

The panel found numerous design changes had been made, to ensure the village works in harmony with its semi-rural surrounds.
