GO-AHEAD GIVEN FOR SECOND GRAFTON BRIDGE

Work on the long awaited second bridge over the Clarence River at Grafton will begin in the new year.
The State Department of Planning and Environment has given the green light to build the second river crossing after completing an environmental impact study.
The $185-million bridge will be constructed downstream from the existing structure.
The Member for Clarence, Chris Gulaptis, says once completed, b-doubles and semi-trailers will be able to use the new bridge.
