SAND REPLENISHMENT WORKING AT WOOLI

A new report card on beach erosion at Wooli has some good news for the village.
A professional surveyor, employed by the Coastal Communities Protection Alliance, has found sand trapping efforts are succeeding in providing a buffer zone from storm surges.
The surveyor has told members of the Alliance the volume of restored sand is around 200 truck loads.
A spokesman says the result demonstrates the huge effort made by the community, in partnership with Dune Care and the Clarence Valley Council.
The beach will be monitored every three months.
