Coffs Harbour City Council will receive $100,000 in State Government funding for two projects to protect local estuaries.
Member for Coffs Harbour Andrew Fraser says the funding comes from this year’s round of the Estuary Management Program.
He says $50,000 will go towards the Estuary Ecohealth project which monitors trends over time.
The council will also receive $50,000 to develop a Coastal Zone Management Plan for Arrawarra Creek to prevent erosion and manage aboriginal heritage values.
