A new high-speed boat will begin patrols from Tuncurry this week to crackdown on illegal fishing activities.
The purpose built Fisheries Patrol Vessel will conduct patrols in offshore, coastal and estuary waterways.
The six-point-one metre vessel has been fitted with state-of-the-art navigation technology to record offences at sea.
