There’s been another local government shakeup – this time in Glen Innes, where the first female mayoral team took the reins last night.
Former deputy Carol Sparks claimed the position of mayor over Steve Toms, who held the top job for two years.
Her new deputy is Dianne Newman.
Further north, Katrina Humphries has retained her role as mayor with five votes, to George Chui’s four.
Greg Smith will take up the position of deputy.
