With only a month until Christmas, the spirit of the season has hit Tamworth.
Today marked the launch of the Giving Box Appeal, a joint operation between the Uniting Church and Target.
“We often don’t see those people that are struggling. There’s probably, your latest studies show, that there’s probably about close to one in seven people living below the poverty line.”
250 people benefited from the charity last year, and this year, organisers are hoping to reach more than 300.
