Bikinis and sandcastles don’t usually go hand-in-hand with horse-racing, but they did in Coffs Harbour today.
The first day of the racing club’s summer carnival was all about raising money for local junior lifesavers.
Patrons enjoyed a variety of beach-inspired displays and activities, including a swimwear parade which featured local pro-surfers.
Because the damp track was put through its paces today, the club’s New Years Day Race Day will be held at Bowraville.
