Demolition of the old Kempsey-Crescent Head Surf Life Saving Club has begun.
The walls of the existing clubhouse are being pulled down, to make way for a new $2-million building.
Once complete, the facility will have a function area, patrol room and a coffee shop.
Construction is expected to be finished mid next year.
