A 17-year-old man has suffered severe pelvic injuries,
in a single vehicle accident in Gwandalan late yesterday.
The teenager was travelling south along Kanangra Drive just after 5 o’clock, when he lost control of his Hyundai Excel. “Vehicle’s left the road and impacted with a gutter and then has impacted with a fairly large gum tree.”
The man was trapped for over an hour, before being flown by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter to Newcastle’s John Hunter hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
Investigations are continuing into the cause of the crash.
