An alleged Gold Coast thief who took off with $5,000 worth of gold jewellery has been refused bail.
26 year old Aaron Jones is charged with snatching a necklace and bracelet from a Helensvale shop.
A staff member bravely gave chase at the time but slipped and crashed into the doors.
