At its latest meeting, Moree Shire Council resolved to participate in the New South Wales Grain Harvest Management Scheme until the end of the year.
The scheme allows eligible heavy vehicles to legally exceed the regulated total mass limits by up to five per cent.
This reassures farmers won’t be turned away at grain receivals for misjudgement when loading during harvest.
