Following the commencement of upgrades to Chaffey Dam, Minister for Agriculture Barnaby Joyce is hosting a national water infrastructure roundtable, in a bid to get other dam projects off the ground.
Later this month, around 60 people, including investors, irrigators and construction workers will attend the meeting.
A working group has identified 30 projects as a priority.
“We’ve got Chaffey going that’s underway, but there are more dams in our area and in our nation that we need to look at. Apsley Dam is a dam that I’m trying my very best to promote, uh I’ve been speaking to people from the Snowy Mountains Corporation just the other day about Apsley Dam.”
