The Ballina pilot involved in an ultralight crash at Knockrow last week, has died in hospital overnight as a result of his injuries.
Emergency services were called to the Martin’s Lane accident on Monday, October 6, to free 73-year-old Ian Byrne from the wreckage.
He was transported to Gold Coast Hospital with multiple injuries but died last night.
Police have re-opened investigations into the crash and are calling for any witnesses to come forward.
