A North Coast TAFE teacher is in the running to win a prestigious national award.
Jill Ashley from Macksville is one of three finalists in the Australian Quality Teaching Awards specialising in language, literacy and numeracy.
She was nominated for her ability to empower indigenous students.
Jill said,”I was really honoured to be selected by my peers first of all to be nominated by them to go for the award,”
The award winner will be announced next month
