A breathtaking moment this morning as our helicopter crew spotted a mother and her baby humpbacks frolicking off Jumpinpin.
Mum was busy teaching bub the art of synchronised swimming, and in turn, the youngster showed off its new skills.
They played in the shallows for half an hour, the calf learning to roll.
Whale watching season will be coming to a close soon.
The humpbacks are all heading south to Antarctica, where they’ll enjoy a big feed, before the massive migration begins all over again in late Autumn.
