Australian hill-climbing champion Brett Haywood has convincingly won the Mattara New South Wales Championships at King Edward Park today.
In just his second run on the course, Haywood beat the record by more than a second, with Mudgee’s Doug Barry and Coffs Harbour’s David Morrow rounding out the podium.
Back for its 57th year, today’s hill climb was held in perfect conditions with drivers producing faster than average performances.
Racing continues tomorrow with the final round of the Tri-Challenge.
