A kayaker has died in a creek near Dorrigo on the mid north coast.
Few details are known at this stage, but Coffs Harbour police are investigating, and organising a team to retrieve the person’s body from rugged terrain at Moonpah.
A Westpac Rescue Helicopter crew went to the scene late yesterday, but called off the mission, after being told by two other kayakers the deceased was in an inaccessible location.
