STOP THE SELL OFF CAMPAIGN CONTINUES

A north west-driven campaign to stop the electricity sell-off continued today, with 25 people going door-knocking.
60 Tamworth-based Transgrid jobs are expected to be on the line, and the union backed, Stop The Sell Off group says the projected loss of revenue is unacceptable.
“The network provides us with money each year, $1.7 billion, that’s used to pay for nurses, and teachers and ambulance drivers. It’s owned by the government, and run by the government, for the good of the people.”
