The restructure of the Knights continued today with 2001 premiership winning coach Michael Hagan appointed as Newcastle’s first Director of Football.
Hagan says the role is designed to take some pressure off the CEO and head coach.
“Really looking forward to working with Rick Stone and just being some support to him in that coaching area and also with Matt Gidley and trying to give him some support to allow him to go and do other things in the commercial part of the business.”
Hagan begins his new job next month and will also continue in his role as assistant coach with Queensland.
