Newcastle Foreshore was aglow last night, as hundreds attended the Light The Night event.
Lanterns shone at the twilight fundraiser, created by the Leukemia Foundation to raise money for blood cancer research.
The different colours were assigned special meanings… gold to remember a loved one, blue to show support, and white for someone fighting cancer.
The national charity drive has reached nearly half its target of $1.25-million, with this event raising more than 26,000.
