A 3-year-old girl has died after being hit by a car in Taree.
Police say the girl was struck by a Holden Commodore station wagon just before 2:30pm, when it was reversing out of a driveway on St Vincent Street.
She was taken to Manning Base Hospital, but later died.
The driver of the Commodore, a 27-year-old man, was also taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
