An upgraded kitchen and new refrigerated delivery van will now help cater to the region’s Meals on Wheels’ growing customer numbers.
From Sawtell to Forster, all seven of the Mid North Coast branches will benefit.
“It’s a freezer van that works for all of our branches, it can travel around and take upwards of 200 meals, desserts, soups,” Area Manager, Alvena Ferguson says.
The service provides meals to around 1,000 clients, with the help of 900 volunteers.
