The A-league’s January transfer window opened yesterday, and there’s speculation the Newcastle Jets have already made a move to secure Melbourne City striker, David Williams.
The Jets are keen to add more firepower to their roster, while City is reportedly looking to offload Williams to free up salary cap space.
The 27-year-old is a noted finisher, scoring 21 times in 91 appearances for City.
The Jets held a private training session today, as Scott Miller’s side prepares for Saturday’s clash with Sydney FC.
Meanwhile, it’s understood the club will announce the re-signing of local talent Nick Cowburn by the end of the week.
