Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at Cessnock yesterday.
At around 1:30pm, a man armed with a pistol entered a travel shop on Cooper Street and threatened a female employee.
She handed over an unknown amount of cash, before the man assaulted her and fled.
Police would like to speak with a man described as being Caucasian in appearance, in his 30s and around 183-centimetres tall.
He has a medium build, short dark hair and colourful tattoos on his arms.
