A proposed fee free strike by Newcastle City Council workers this weekend has been cancelled.
The United Services Union has called off the proposed industrial action which arose from concerns over the out sourcing of council services.
Council says it will be business as usual at Summerhill Waste Management Centre, while paid parking across the city will operate as normal.
