Several jets from Williamtown’s RAAF base will call the New England North West home for the next month.
Five Hawk trainer jets from the 76 squadron touched down at Tamworth airport late yesterday for Exercise Southern Lights.
Initial fighter course training is usually only conducted at the Williamtown Base – the change in location testing the team’s capability to deploy from unfamiliar airstrips.
