Just two days after announcing the transfer of Josh Brillante to Italian club Fiorentina, the Newcastle Jets have signed Northern Ireland international Jonny Steele for the next two A-League seasons.
The 28-year-old last played for the New York Red Bulls in America’s Major League Soccer.
During his 50 games with New York, the midfielder played alongside the likes of current Jet David Carney, as well as Tim Cahill and Thierry Henry.
