A teenager has been arrested and charged following an armed robbery of a petrol station on the New England Highway in Rutherford on Tuesday night.
About 11pm, two males, both armed with knives, held up the petrol station before escaping with an amount of cash. No one was injured during the incident.
Police today carried out a search warrant on a house in Alexander Avenue.
A 17-year-old male was arrested and taken to Maitland Police Station where he was charged with armed robbery.
