The Pacific Highway has been voted the worst road in the Hunter, according to the NRMA.
More than 10,000 motorists took part in the survey with poor road surface, narrow lanes and congestion identified as the biggest concerns for Hunter drivers.
The five worst roads were:
1. Pacific Highway
2. Broke Road
3. New England Highway
4. Nelson Bay Road
5. Cormorant Road
The NRMA is using the results to push the community behind their federal election campaign.
