A Tamworth family’s push for the legalisation of medicinal cannabis has received a further boost, with the Australian Drug Foundation conditionally supporting the move.
The foundation says the patient must be medically diagnosed by a specialist, and remain under the physician’s care.
Their condition must also be resistant to traditional treatments.
The support comes four days after the Australian Nurses and Midwives’ Association backed the Haslam’s fight.
