PARLIAMENTARY INQUIRY INTO EPA

A Hunter environment group has welcomed the announcement of a Parliamentary Inquiry into the NSW Environment Protection Agency.

The probe comes following concerns over the EPA’s handling of a contamination incident at Orica’s Port Botany site, coal dust monitoring in the Hunter as well as coal seam gas exploration projects.

The Hunter Community Environment Centre hopes the inquiry will shed more light on its campaign for covered coal wagons.
