Today marks 25 years since the first bowlers hit the greens at Brunswick Heads for heartbeats, a group formed to bring together people with heart conditions.
The organisation started with 21 members and has grown to 100 …with the oldest recruit, 94 years young.
“Friendship, support, fun and to show the world there is a life after you’ve had Open Heart Surgery.”
To mark a quarter of a century, today’s winner took home a special commemorative trophy and scored a plaque on two perpetual shields.
