Firefighters were quick to distinguish a blaze that broke out at East Gosford this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the Central Coast highway shortly before four, where a kitchen restaurant had caught alight.
The flames then spread to the building’s flue, before crews managed to climb onto the roof and contain the fire.
One person was taken to hospital suffering smoke inhalation.
