A public voice session is currently underway at Newcastle Council,
giving residents the chance to air their concerns over a controversial manufactured home project at Mayfield.
216 submissions were made against the proposed $1.3-million development.
“We don’t think that this is in the right zoning for what they want to do and hopefully council will knock it on the head and it won’t go ahead.”
Council will vote on the project in four to six weeks.
