POLICE APPEAL AFTER BOY APPROACHED IN MORISSET

Police are appealing to the public for information after a boy was approached by a man in a car at Morisset last week.
Just after 4 o’clock last Thursday, a nine-year-old boy and his seven-year-old brother were playing soccer outside their home on Beauty Point Road.
The older boy was attempting to cross the road when a dark-coloured hatchback stopped nearby.
Police say the driver opened the car door and attempted to start a conversation with the boy, before leaving a short time later.
Police conducted an extensive search of the surrounding streets but couldn’t find the man.
Inquiries into the matter are continuing and officers would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist in the investigation.
He has been described as being between30-40 years of age, with short light-coloured hair and he was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and dark glasses.
