Work to repair a failing section of Old Bar Road has been postponed until next year, due to the availability of the subcontractor.
The two kilometre stretch between the Pacific Highway and Pampoolah was reconstructed just over a year ago, but a subsequent review found several defects.
Contractor Civil Team Engineering, has agreed to remove and replace the asphalt at no cost to Taree Council.
Work was scheduled to begin last week, but will now take place in February.
