Three police officers have been injured in a brawl at Waratah overnight.
Police were called to the Town Hall Hotel just after 11 o’clock following reports a 40 year old man was involved in a fight with several patrons.
As police attempted to talk to the man, it’s alleged he turned on them.
Police used capsicum spray to diffuse the situation, before arresting the man.
He was later released pending further investigation.
Three police were treated at the John Hunter Hospital for a range of injures,including bite wounds and a suspected fractured wrist.
