A Southport Child Care centre was plunged into lockdown and a street cordoned off by police this morning after reports a gunman was threatening to shoot people.
Several parents and residents spotted the man behaving erratically…and believed he was carrying something, possibly a gun or drill.
It’s alleged the man tried to jump a fence to escape police.. But was caught nearby.
No weapon or drill was found during a search of the Joden Place house and surrounds.
He’s now being assessed in Hospital.
His house-mate was also arrested on outstanding warrants.
