There’s been more trouble for Downer EDI, the company which is fitting out the state’s new Waratah trains.
Following ongoing industrial action by staff, WorkCover has issued a stop work notice for a workshop at the company’s Cardiff site, after dust sampling found evidence of asbestos.
The company has been issued with an improvement notice and will now have to conduct tests to prove that the area is free of contaminants.
